Elevator Pitch No. 1

There is a huge need for a program that helps guides students from a young age to the career that is right for them. Career Quest is an extensive career shadowing program that is integrated and financed by their public or private education institutions that guides them along the way from elementary school all the way until they graduate high school. By using data analytics and career specialists that work with each student personally CareerQuest helps students learn about and understand a wide variety of professions across different industries. This way, students will have a better understanding of the career path that is right for them by the time they graduate secondary school.

  1. Juan,
Great work. I think your idea is very creative and I believe that if this were to pursue it would be very successful. We come into college thinking we know what career we want to pursue and we take all these classes to see if this so called career is the best fit for us. Unfortunately, sometimes we realize that it is not the best for us and e decide to switch majors. This whole process can be very stressful for students and that is why I think Career Quest could do great! It would be great to know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life before I had to take a whole bunch of classes I didn't end up liking.

  2. Good idea Juan! I believe this should be implemented when children are in high school. This way they can begin to develop an understanding of what actually goes on day to day rather than basing our reasoning on what looks good on TV. Along with this when students go to college they will know exactly which path they want to take and have mentors along the way from relationships they have developed early on.

  4. Hi Juan, I really like your idea. First of all, I think that career management is definitely something that should be taught in high school, as well as money management. That being said, it's not being taught so that creates the demand for ideas like yours! I really like your idea and I think it could actually do well.
